The following reviews were shared with our former ticketing agency that requested honest feedback after guests take the tours. You may also find reviews posted on tripadvisor, yelp and cruisecritics.com.

Very informative and fun!
Even though it was a cool, rainy day (complimentary ponchos available) the tour guide was upbeat and pleasant. Wear comfortable shoes and bring some cash (you will want to purchase items along the way). The shops we stopped in were expecting us and the samples were delicious. Portland has wonderful, tasty options for all pallets. I would take this tour again just for the history lesson!

Great mix of local history and foodie stops.
We’ve been on similar food tours in other cities. What we enjoy the most is having a wonderful food guide to show us where the great shops and markets are. Randy, our tour guide did just that! In a city that boasts so many delicious places to either dine or to shop for food, we found it extremely insightful that our tour and guide targeted some fantastic places that we’d probably otherwise overlook or miss all together. We’d highly recommend this Foodie tour to anyone wanting to learn a bit more about Portland’s cuisine.
-Group of Friends

Lots of fun and great information
This tour offered a nice walk at an appropriate pace along with great food samples and foo/area history. Tour Guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I would have prefered a bit more time at most stops, particularly the cheese shop and fish market. Discount info and pamphlets from each stop were provided for later reference. These were a really nice addition. Good value for $ too (especially compared to cruiseline tour packages)

We had a great time!
A group of us booked this tour while we were in the port of Portland on a cruise. I felt the tour was a great value for the price and we had a great time. John was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide who not only told us about the culinary history of Portland but also a lot of other general facts and stories about the area. The samples we tried were fantastic and all the shop owners were very gracious and helpful. My husband and I especially liked the whoopie pies at Two Fat Cats. We come from Pennsylvania and there are many places to purchase whoopie pies in this area, but those we tasted in Portland had a fantastic creamy filling that was much better than the ones we’ve tasted locally. The blueberry jam was excellent and of course the lobster was fantastic. We really liked visiting the fish market and seeing the fisherman down by the docks. I would highly recommend this tour to any “foodie” that would be in the Portland area. We had a great time.

A fun afternoon!
The culinary tour was time well spent! Not only did we get to taste several delicious local foods, but we also learned a lot about the city of Portland from our fantastic tour guide John!

Our Tour guide was great…very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. All local stores/shops were extremely inviting and also delivered interesting info as well as delicious food!

A great way to see Portland
This is a great way to see Portland Maine. The guide was friendly, fun, and informative. He provided several suggestions on places to eat. The food was excellent. The price for the tour was very reasonable.

Tour was fun
I enjoyed my tour very much. I had not spent a lot of time in Portland and it was fun to not only taste my way through the city but get some history as well. Thank you.

The following are comments shared directly to us by our guests:

We took a Foodie Tour for my bachlorette party back in early August. We had a WONDERFUL time on our tour and I couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable afternoon with my girlfriends! It was a fun and relaxing afternoon to spend in a beautiful city before my wedding! Our tour guide, John was fantastic too! I wish you much success in this new business!

We loved it!
The culinary tour was absolutely wonderful! Our favorite stop was the Two Fat Cats bakery because their whoopie pies were amazing! And the “Ducktrap” smoked trout from the Harbor Fish market was great too! All of the food samples were very tasty. Our tour guide John, was awesome and informative on the history of Portland.. We both learned a lot about the Old Port area and will highly recommend this tour to all our friends visiting Portland.

-Hannah and Peggy Laskey, Eddington, ME

Pam, Thank you, thank you, thank you! The tour was way more than I expected and the truffles were just amazing! It was not only fun, but Jennifer and I rekindled our old relationship and romance thanks to you! Best to you and your dream team!

-Tony Benitez, Sous Chef Norway, Epcot Center, FL
………………………………………………………………………………………………

Comprehensive, Informative, and Thoroughly Enjoyable….even in the rain! We loved that we were introduced to places that we had never seen before (and we have spent lots of time in this town near our home in Sebago over the last ten years!) You offered us a good balance of history and information about the food we enjoyed to which we give a big “thumbs up!”

-Deb Anthony and Dana Gschwendtner, Allentown, PA.

I took the MFT looking for an outdoor adventure to recommend to my foodie friends. I was very pleased with the knowledge I learned and really enjoyed sampling all the goodies. Thank you!

-Heather Jamieson, Scarboro, ME
………………………………………………………………………………………………

We were looking for a new tour to introduce to all our summer guests and we were not disappointed! Our tour guide, John, was thoroughly entertaining and we actually learned a lot about our neighbor city. We had a really good time and plan to send our friends this way. Thank you!

-John and Jean Frazier, Scarboro, ME
………………………………………………………………………………………………

What a great time! The combination of fabulous artisan food tastings and the history of Portland made the two hours flew by! In fact, we were having such a great time, we made our charming and witty guide bring us back a little late. I highly recommend this tour now to all my friends in CT!

-Carol Perkins, Woodstock, CT
………………………………………………………………………………………………

This tour gave us a taste of Portland which we would not have learned on our own. The guide added a lot of context for us and we loved the wide variety of native to Maine foods.

-Prachi Patel and Joel Predd, Pittsburgh, PA
………………………………………………………………………………………………

We had a marvelous time! This was very informative and nicely paced for all ages. (We had two strollers full!)

-Donna Naroff, Nashua, NH
………………………………………………………………………………………………

My wife and I were introduced by name to all the other attendees before the tour even started, so we loved getting to know one another during the walk. It was a very personal tour and we really liked the interactive nature of it all. Our guide, John, was terrific and we enjoyed a beer at Grittys with all our new friends. Thank you for a wonderful tour!

-Mr and Mrs Belcher, Purton, England
………………………………………………………………………………………………

The stops on the tour were all unique and I seriously loved the dark chocolate truffle as we learned the origin of the ?Needham?. Plus, the smoked trout was just delish. But, my favorite stop was learning about and tasting the local, organic cheeses from Kris Horton at her shop. We had a bunch of ?cheese heads? from Wisconsin on our tour, and they simply could not stump Kris in any way, shape, or form. That was just so fun to watch. The whole tour made me proud of the fine foods produced in our state and the talented artisans who make amazing foods to enjoy. Thank you for a totally fun, feel good experience.

-Donna Laskey, Deer Isle, ME
